At the 2022 Trinity Diaconate Ordination held on Wednesday, 29^th June, 2022 at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Magodo GRA, Lagos, the Rt Revd Dr James Olusola Odedeji charged the eight Deacons with a question “what minds are they bringing into the ministry”? He stressed that they are coming into the crowd and distinguishing themselves in the crowd is not negotiable.

Bishop Odedeji  also encouraged them to be eagles in terms of discharging their duties as Deacons in the Churches they would be posted to. He charged them not to be like chickens because chickens are very timid, easily killed, mediocre and they allow their background to put their backs on the ground. Instead they must be eagles who are strong, noiseless in achievement of their goals and aspire higher.

The Diocesan welcomed them to Lagos West Diocese and emphasized that the Diocese always produce strong and vibrant men of God who can also withstand principalities and powers and overcome them.
