WOMEN ORGANIZATION HOLDS 2022 VALENTINE SCHOOL OUTREACH ACROSS LAGOS STATE

Youths in the country have again been challenged to pursue the path of greatness.

This was the central message by the Diocese of Lagos West Women Organization to youths in Commemoration of this year's Valentine's Day.

The programme, tagged 2022 Valentine's Day Schools Outreach, meant to sensitize young people on the essence of Valentine’s day, was held in schools within the thirty-three Archdeaconries of the diocese in the State.

At Opebi Grammar school, a seasoned counselor, Mrs Bisilola Asenuga told the students that sex and all forms of immoralities on Val's Day does not translate to love, encouraged the young people to guard their future jealously.

Earlier, the president of the women's organization and wife of the Bishop of the Diocese, Dr. Mrs Oluwakemi Lydia Odedeji in her good will message said the gesture was borne out of her passion for a bright future for the leaders of tomorrow.

She affirmed that the motive of the celebration had been abused by the youth, leading to regrets, hence the need to educate them on how best to mark the day.

The programme had in attendance pupils, teachers, facilitators and Archdeaconries Christian mothers team led by the wives of the Archdeacons.

Other side attractions included recitation of a poem coined from the theme : I Am Enough: A Person of Worth", and the distribution of gifts.
