CHURCH IS BUILT TO HEAR GOD – Bishop James Odedeji
At the dedication of new ultra-modern Church building of Egbe Archdeaconry headquarters of the Diocese of Lagos West, Our Saviour s Anglican Church, Egbe, the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt Revd Dr James Olusola Odedeji during his sermon described the Administrative Archdeacon of Egbe, the Venerable Ariire Kolawole as an Evangelist, Teacher of the Word, vibrant, transparent dedicated man of God. He commended his effort in the completion of new ultra modern church building.
During his sermon, the Diocesan Bishop said the church was built primary to hear from God and for God to hear us. He further highlighted the importance of church: For guidance, to ascertain His will in all situations, to know His plan and purpose at every given time and to fellowship and to dialogue.
Bishop Odedeji said live would be miserable, miracle would become ridicule, spirit of vagabond would set in, unnecessary errors would be committed, demotion would set in, going back to one s vomit, living a double standard live, expectation will be from false prophets and anointing would become annoyance when one is not hearing from God.
The Bishop concluded by encouraging the congregation at the dedication of the new Church building to live a holy life (1 Peter 1:15-16), have faith and walk with God as this will aid them to continually hear from God.
